The Superior Hiking Trail

One of the top 10 places in the country to hike,and perhaps one of the most beautiful places to hike as well.

Over 224 square miles of some of the most beautiful landscape in the country.

This is a place you can make a vacation out of you hiking adventures.This 286 mile trail starts in Duluth and ends on the Canadian Border.

Campsites free of charge,and permit free makes this trail one heck of an adventure.

Parking spots are every 5-10 miles along this trail,and maps pretty much available at many of the local establishments in the area.

The Superior Hiking Trail Association builds,maintains and manages the trail system,and is always looking for volunteers.So if you want to adopt some area of this trail to take care of,let them know.They need & appreciate your help!!

Volunteers Needed

Please take a moment to volunteer to help maintain a trail.

Whether it be collecting trash thrown along the path,to lending a helping hand with a shovel for repairs.

There are so many ways to help.Just a little time from others makes a huge difference.

We support no specific trail here in the state.We want you to support what trail matters to you.One in your community.Talk to them,and say "Hey..what can I do to help this trail?".

Take the time to appreciate trails in the state,and encourage others to get on out there and stretch the legs a bit.

There is nothing better than a good walk,or hike for mental & physical exercise.

ON THE OTHER HAND :

You don't need to volunteer...just give thanks,and a pat on the back to those who do maintain the trails here in the state.That's just as important as bending over to pick up a piece of trash.

Having those who care about our trail system here in Minnesota..helps the movement to maintain them.

So we thank you for visiting,and having an interest in looking up a trail,or looking for a new place to hike.

We are constantly adding new hiking paths to explore on a weekly basis.

The bottom line is.Take action and help be part of a path in Minnesota.Your interest alone will help keep it alive.

Find a trail system that interests you.

That's what we're about,and take it from there and stretch those legs :)
