Goodhue Pioneer State Trail

When this trail is finished,it will connect Redwing,Goodhue,Zumboda,Mazeppa,Bellechester and Pine Island making the trail a total of 47 miles long.

It will also connest with the Cannon Valley Regional Trail and the Douglas State Trail In Pine Island.

This area is so beautiful and rich in history.This trail may be one that you return to over,and over again.We've really received alot of positive feedback on this one.

Parking

You'll find parking for this trail in the city of Redwing,the Hay Creek Richard J. Doer State Forest and Covered Bridge Park in Zumbrota.

Our staff has yet to visit this trail.So please contact the DNR for more information.

Volunteers Needed

Please take a moment to volunteer to help maintain a trail.

Whether it be collecting trash thrown along the path,to lending a helping hand with a shovel for repairs.

There are so many ways to help.Just a little time from others makes a huge difference.

We support no specific trail here in the state.We want you to support what trail matters to you.One in your community.Talk to them,and say "Hey..what can I do to help this trail?".

Take the time to appreciate trails in the state,and encourage others to get on out there and stretch the legs a bit.

There is nothing better than a good walk,or hike for mental & physical exercise.

ON THE OTHER HAND :

You don't need to volunteer...just give thanks,and a pat on the back to those who do maintain the trails here in the state.That's just as important as bending over to pick up a piece of trash.

Having those who care about our trail system here in Minnesota..helps the movement to maintain them.

So we thank you for visiting,and having an interest in looking up a trail,or looking for a new place to hike.

We are constantly adding new hiking paths to explore on a weekly basis.

The bottom line is.Take action and help be part of a path in Minnesota.Your interest alone will help keep it alive.

Find a trail system that interests you.

That's what we're about,and take it from there and stretch those legs :)
