Minnesota Hiking Association: Moris Wetland Management District

This is a great place to take a small hike in South-West Minnesota.It's really a great trail for all,and not over challenging.

It's also great for us bird lovers,who enjoy seeing a variety of birds while out on the trails.There are 100's of species of birds in this wildlife refuge.I really recommend this place if you're an avid bird watcher.

There is a hiking trail that's just a little over a mile that starts at the management center,and ends there as well.

The Morris Wetland Management District office is located 4 miles east of Morris, Minnesota on County Road 10.

Office hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Volunteers Needed

Please take a moment to volunteer to help maintain a trail.

Whether it be collecting trash thrown along the path,to lending a helping hand with a shovel for repairs.

There are so many ways to help.Just a little time from others makes a huge difference.

We support no specific trail here in the state.We want you to support what trail matters to you.One in your community.Talk to them,and say "Hey..what can I do to help this trail?".

Take the time to appreciate trails in the state,and encourage others to get on out there and stretch the legs a bit.

There is nothing better than a good walk,or hike for mental & physical exercise.

ON THE OTHER HAND :

You don't need to volunteer...just give thanks,and a pat on the back to those who do maintain the trails here in the state.That's just as important as bending over to pick up a piece of trash.

Having those who care about our trail system here in Minnesota..helps the movement to maintain them.

So we thank you for visiting,and having an interest in looking up a trail,or looking for a new place to hike.

We are constantly adding new hiking paths to explore on a weekly basis.

The bottom line is.Take action and help be part of a path in Minnesota.Your interest alone will help keep it alive.

Find a trail system that interests you.

That's what we're about,and take it from there and stretch those legs :)
